Fraser has lived and worked, always immersed in music, in East Anglia, the north of Scotland, and Dublin, and came back to Sheffield in 2011 to acquire a second degree from the University – this one an MA in Music Management under Dr David Patmore.
In addition to playing various keyboard instruments he sings, conducts, and composes. He founded and is Musical Director of Albion and The Rivelin Singers, is a member of Ireland’s national choir Anúna, and edits Soundboard magazine. He also runs projects, makes films, writes reviews, and comes up with far too many ideas.
Fraser works with musicians of all ages: directing a diverse range of ensembles, training educational and liturgical choirs, running learning schemes, leading workshops, organising tours, playing, and designing projects.
Early in 2013 he began to accumulate job titles here at Music in the Round, becoming first Digital Media Assistant and later Education & Outreach Assistant as well. After all that assisting, in summer 2013 he became our first Learning & Participation Manager.
When (rarely, if ever) not occupied with music, he can be found supporting Norwich City, running marathons, and testing real ales (though not usually all three at the same time).
