Important information for concerts on Sunday 8 May
The Sheffield Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 8th May meaning that a number of roads around the City will be closed in the morning. A full list of closures can be found at www.sheffieldmarathon.com/info/roads so please do check before you travel.
The closures will not affect access to Sheffield City Hall if you approach the City Centre from Broad Lane (Broad Lane is the road off the University roundabout that goes down the hill, past Mappin, towards West Bar).
The two car parks and on-street parking on Carver Street will be open and accessible. West Street, Holly Street (for disabled bays), Leopold Street are all unaffected.
If you're coming from Ecclesall/Broomhill/Fulwood direction we advise you to get to the University Roundabout, take the exit onto Broad Lane and follow the directions below.
If you're coming from Sheffield Parkway, follow Derek Dooley Way up to West Bar and go straight across West Bar and the next roundabout to get onto Broad Lane.
Directions from Broad Lane
- Turn onto Rockingham Street (the road next to the NHS Walk-In Centre). There is a Q-Park Multistorey car park just off Rockingham Street.
- At the end of Rockingham Street, turn left onto West Street.
- Take the right hand filter lane to turn right onto Carver Street. There are two car parks on Carver Street plus on-street parking.
- If both of those car parks are full, carry straight on and go almost all the way around the Charter Square roundabout (third exit) onto Wellington Street. At the traffic lights turn left back on to the other end of Rockingham Street. There are three more car parks on here.
