Sing a Story 
Early Years Performances
4th July 2016 - Sheffield City Hall Ballroom, 10.45am

Join a musical train ride through well-loved and new stories and songs led by presenter John Webb, actor Charlotte Mafham and a host of marvellous musicians.

This concert is perfect for 3-5 year olds and their grown ups (parents, carers, childminders or nursery teachers) and will be great fun and highly participatory and supports the EYFS Framework, in particular Communication and Language (explored through rhymes, chants and song), Literacy (storytelling) and Expressive Arts and Design (listening, singing, role-play and movement). 

Concert tickets are £3 per child and adults are FREE.

Nursery staff can attend an optional Sing a Story INSET session teaching all the songs and stories ahead of the concert on Friday 13th May 4.30-6pm at the Adelphi Room, Crucible Theatre.
This concert is part of a MAKING MUSIC IN THE EARLY YEARS CONFERENCE (Monday 4 July 2016, 9.15am – 3.30pm at City Hall) that includes a keynote speech by Professor Colwyn Trevarthen, practical music workshops led by Esther Sheridan, John Webb and “Sing a Story”, Babelsongs, and much more.
