Trumpeter Jay Phelps (formerly of Empirical and recently starring in BBC’s Dancing on the Edge series) has put together an all-star line up to re-arrange and perform the wonderful music of Miles Davis.

Joining Phelps on the front line will be American alto saxophone star Logan Richardson and British jazz star Denys Baptiste on tenor, along with a rhythm section comprising three of the busiest men in the business.

Phelps has always cited Davis as one of his greatest inspirations and aims to breathe new life into his music with this brand new project where all musicians will be arranging their inspirational Miles music.

Definitely a not-to-be-missed show from a hot new band of gentlemen who are all at the forefront of jazz today and leaders in their own right.

Please note that there has been a change in line-up for this concert. Due to a clash of bookings Soweto Kinch and Benet McLean are no longer available, however Jay Phelps has been able to secure two arguably even better musicians as their replacements: Denys Baptiste on tenor sax and Jonathan Gee on piano .
