Ensemble 360 perform pieces by Mozart, Weber - another child prodigy, related to Mozart by marriage - and Brazil’s most important composer, Villa-Lobos. Mozart wrote his delightful Trio in F when he was only eight years old, during a visit to London in 1764.Weber’s Trio is from later in his short career; its elegant charm is very different from the Gothic drama of his operas. Villa-Lobos was a prolific composer with deep roots in Brazilian folklore and a brilliant experimenter: Jet Whistle is the effect used in the piece that conjures up the sound of a plane flying overhead.
