The Chimpanzees of Happytown Schools' Concerts and Project

Ensemble 360 and narrator Polly Ives have become firm favourites with children aged 3 – 7 years with brilliant newly commissioned pieces of music by Children’s Composer in Residence Paul Rissmann. Recent successes include Sir Scallywag and the Battle of Stinky BottomStan and Mabel, The Lion Who Wanted to Love, Giddy Goat, and Sir Scallywag and the Golden Underpants.

The Chimpanzees of Happytown
celebrates the importance of happiness, freedom and living life to the full. With lots of audience participation and image projections from the book, this concert is an ideal way to engage young audiences in top-quality music-making alongside professional musicians and to embed music in children’s everyday learning.

Music has so many benefits for children’s development and learning, their literacy, numeracy, confidence, self-awareness, and so much more. This project gives you the resources and ideas you need to put music at the heart of your curriculum. It's also a load of fun!

Our accompanying INSET sessions are for ALL teachers and staff involved in the project, led by narrator Polly Ives, will provide training, audio and visual resources, and practical support in how to incorporate The Chimpanzees of Happytown story into your nursery or school’s curriculum. Learn the songs, explore cross-curricular activities for everyday use in the classroom, and develop your skills and confidence in making music.
