The Lindsay Foundation
The Lindsay Foundation was set up in 2005 to support Music in the Community, the outreach and education branch of Music in the Round, and is named after Music in the Round's founding ensemble, the Lindsay String Quartet.
The focus of a number of fundraising events and activities such as a 25-hour Mozart Marathon and members of the management team running the Sheffield Half Marathon, the Lindsay Foundation has also attracted legacies and gifts from a number of individuals. The Foundation’s support of Music in the Community’s work to extend music-making and the enjoyment of music is principally in Sheffield, but it does also contribute to the tour of our specially commissioned concerts for children and families.
Raising money through the Foundation is vitally important to the future of both the children and adults who take part, as well as the organisation and its position within the community.
Taking part in fundraising can be great fun, so if you’d like to get involved or can help in any way, please contact us for further details on how you can pledge your support.
